I Hope Tomorrow Is Like Today

Ad and I went to Body Worlds last night and DAMN it was crowded. Who knew that so many people liked science? I sure as hell didn't. It was extremely interesting though; nerd that I am, I obsessed over the metastatic lung and all the tumors. I just can't help it, it's not often that I get to see the cross-section of a tumor. In oncology, I just see the tumor site on the animal we're treating and in the lab, we just work at a cellular level. Amazing stuff. I think Ad got squeamish, I'm not sure he thought the whole idea of 'seeing' the human body through, but he was a trooper and I think he liked it.

It's incredible to think we are just a product of kickass evolutionary changes, well-designed machines 'created' by an unconscious process.
